Fashion Report : 2010 American Music Awards

Favorite Country Female winner Taylor Swift was unrecognizable in a surprisingly chic Collette Dinnigan mini, Jimmy Choo heels, and new, bang-enhanced ‘do upon arriving at the 38th American Music Awards in downtown Los Angeles.

Thankfully, Rihanna decided to tone down her Ronald McDonald red hair for the AMAs! As a result, the “Only Girl (In the World)” singer looked ravishing in a lace gown by Elie Saab, which perfectly matched her dark curls and showed just a hint of skin.

Miley Cyrus — who turns 18 on Tuesday — proved she’s not a little girl anymore in a chiffon Marchesa mini, which featured a fun, flowing train. Christian Louboutin “Maralena” stilettos and Neil Lane bling completed her lovely look.

Jada Pinkett Smith donned a daring Emilio Pucci masterpiece and gold Christian Louboutin gladiator booties.

“We R Who We R” songstress Ke$ha sported yet another tangled eyesore and disastrous ‘do. Will she ever learn that less is more? Probably not.

Pink debuted a new silver coif and easily hid her burgeoning baby bump in a ruffled dress, while hubby Carey Hart kept it classy in head-to-toe black. Love this couple!

Katy Perry — who typically makes the worst-dressed list — turned heads in a feminine Badgley Mischka frock and Brian Atwood platform peep-toes.

Fergie — who won the Favorite Pop/Rock Band trophy alongside her fellow Black Eyed Peas — was dressed for success in an embellished mini, from Indian designers Falguni and Shane Peacock, which featured exaggerated shoulder pads and feather detailing.

Fortunately, Avril Lavigne ditched her signature hoodie in favor of a black-and-white print mini for the event. The punk princess accessorized with chain-adorned booties and plenty of spiky, studded bangles.

How hot is Kelly Osbourne? The reality star rocked big blond hair, big bold rings, and a black frock that accentuated her fabulous new physique.

Keri Hilson played in safe in a black crocodile mini and two-toned feathered ‘do!

The always stunning Heidi Klum left little to the imagination in her see-through lace getup.

The multi-talented Jenny McCarthy rocked the red carpet in an asymmetrical, Stella McCartney sequined sparkler, sky-high heels, and fab pompadour.

Jessica Alba oozed glamour in a stunning, one-shoulder dress and gold accents. Strappy heels and and a tight bun completed her flawless look.

“No Ordinary Family” star Julie Benz was sophisticated in a black Chanel number with gold accents and sparkling stilettos.

Sheryl Crow was boho chic in a paisley maxi dress for the American Music Awards 2010.

It’s too bad “Dancing With the Stars” pro Cheryl Burke paired her cute champagne-colored frock with clunky embellished platforms.

Designer and The City star Whitney Port showed off her perfect pins in a draped mini. She gave the delicate printed frock a tough edge with charcoal grey heels and a simple waist belt.

Actress Stana Katic got into the spirit of the event by wearing a sexy silver Oday Shakar Fall 2010 plunging dress with matching metallic pumps and silver clutch.

Singer-songwriter Mandy Moore looked worked an ultra-modern look for the night in a sequin Matthew Williamson mini and nude Jimmy Choo heels.

Rihanna opened the night sporting a bikini-ensemble for her three-song medley ‘Loved The Way U Lie’,’What’s My Name’, & ‘Only Girl In The World’.

Rihanna also popped a pose backstage in this Elie Saab stunner, which featured dramatic draping and a thigh-high slit. We much prefer this look to the cranberry-colored catastrophe she wore on the red carpet, don’t you?

Taylor Swift changed into an all black skinny pants and blazer ensemble for her dramatic “Back to December/Apologize” mashup.

Christina Aguilera performed “Express” from her new movie debut, Burlesque. Ms. Aguilera looked like the perfect burlesque songstress in her sexy glittery bodysuit.

Katy Perry had her own moment in the spotlight wearing a skin-tight red bodysuit while performed her fit song ‘Firework’.

Fergie wore a Zuhair Murad Spring 2010 Couture dress in the press room at the 2010 American Music Awards. The fashion forward singer wore a pewter and silver metallic silk strapless cocktail dress with exaggerated hips and silver studded beading.

GQ 2010 “Men Of The Year” Party

Rapper Drake was among the eye candy at the GQ Men of the Year bash at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood on Wednesday night. The dapper star — named the mag’s “Breakout of the Year” — and other guests feasted on mini grilled cheese sandwiches, mini burgers from Umami Burger, mini cupcakes from SusieCakes Bakery, and more, according to USA Today.

Sexy “Twilight” werewolf Taylor Lautner flashed his megawatt smile on the red carpet. Do you think the 18-year-old will make the cut next year?

“Twilight” beefcake Kellan Lutz, who is reportedly on again with sometime girlfriend AnnaLynne McCord, was dashing in a blue pinstripe Simon Spurr suit.

Former “Heroes” star Milo Ventimiglia struck a rather stoic pose in a double-breasted gray suit.

Anna Kendrick opted for a cute Alberta Ferretti black strapless cocktail dress with a Jimmy Choo Candy clutch. Brian Atwood black and gold trim ankle strap heels complete her look.

Anna Faris looked stylish a silver simple top with sparkly black evening & burgundy suede ankle boots.

Olivia Munn paired a neutral chiffon dress with platform leopard pumps. The heels added a sultry touch to her ladylike dress. She let her hair take center stage by opting for light makeup.

A girl can never go wrong with a little black dress, and Gossip Girl‘s Katie Cassidy knew just how to work it at the 2010 GQ Men of the Year party last night in LA. Accessorizing with some bold statement earrings and a cool sleek clutch, she finished off her look with a fresh lavender manicure–to add a little color, of course!

Odette Yustman gave her sparkly cocktail dress a masculine vibe in on-trend black suede ankle boots. An oversize blazer completes the look.

Shenae Grimes showed off black platform plumps and a whole lot of leg in this getup. She paired the heels with satin evening shorts and a velvet floor length coat.

Wow! Taylor Cole adds a whole new twist to the little black dress. The dress is adorned with leather shoulder epaulets and studded leather details. It’s the sheer feature, however, that is quite the attention getter! Taylor Cole added some flair to her look with fluttering lashes and soft pink lips.

Erika Christensen went for a polished look in a black Roland Mouret Gali wool dress with folded structured shoulders teamed with matching pumps.

Kate Mara wore a chic Herve Leger cocktail dress with subtle green insets. Her look was completed with classic black pumps.

2010 CNN Heroes All-Star Tribute

Oscar winner Halle Berry, who arrived at the 2010 CNN Heroes soiree in a super-sexy, one-shoulder Alberta Ferretti frock, Robert Lee Morris jewelry, and signature smile.

Renee Zellweger — who has been MIA on the red carpet for the past few months — made a triumphant return at the CNN Heroes fete in a fabulous, fuchsia frock, courtesy of designer Carolina Herrera.

Right behind Renee in the arrivals line … fellow Oscar winner Marisa Tomei (“My Cousin Vinny”), who, at 45, looked sensational in a sexy red dress and leopard print peep-toes.

Jessica Alba chose a demure day dress by Rachel Comey for the CNN Heroes gala. We love the digital print on this spaghetti strap number and the colour combo of smokey grey and nude. Delish.

Demi Moore cut a fine figure in a navy cocktail dress with jewelled neckline at the CNN Heroes dinner. The actress kept her signature long locks shiny and loose and her accessories to a minimum. Elegant and effortless as usual.

Emmy Rossum wore a summery one-shouldered Lela Rose Fall 2010 printed dress with gorgeous gold belt. Love her accessories which included Pour La Victoire heels, but I think the cuff was totally unnecessary.

AnnaLynne McCord rocked an Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet Adrianna knit dress with fox fur cuffs teamed with Christian Louboutin Ambertina sandals.

7th Annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen stepped out in their granny gear yet again for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards held at Skylight Soho in New York City Monday night.

Kim Kardashian looked like an Egyptian queen in her blue Zac Posen gown. She and her older sister Kourtney really are taking Manhattan!

Carey Mulligan, 25, burst into tears on the red carpet — not because she aged herself drastically in a sequined Chanel dress and dowdy suede ankle boots, but because she received a call informing her she had landed the role of Daisy Buchanan in director Baz Luhrman’s upcoming adaptation of “The Great Gatsby.”

Anna Paquin donned a simple silhouette in her Richard Chai cocktail dress.

“Gossip Girl’s” Leighton Meester didn’t disappoint in an edgy Prabal Gurung dress, which she paired with funky Roger Vivier booties.

Another “gossip,” Blake Lively, oozed sex appeal in a rather sheer, form-fitting Chanel number. Eat your heart out, boys!

Christina Ricci was cute as a button in a Peter Som dress, bangin’ hair, and bright red lips. Too bad she paired her fun frock with heavy black tights!

Look Of The Week : Kim, Natalie, Carla, Halle, Hathaway, Alexa, Sarah, Beyonce, Krysten, Emma, Anna, Bosworth

Kim Kardashian chose a ’50s-chic gray sheath (with lace kick pleats!) for a Charmin event.  The entrepreneur should always go retro! The waist-enhancing silhouette of the vintage-inspired number flattered the multitasking star’s timeless curves.

Trust Natalie Portman to pick the simplest outfit and still be the most stunning gal in the room. The Black Swan actress was gorgeous in a little white dress with sheer overlay and bow-tie belt by John Galliano for Dior. A pair of black pumps and smokey eyes was all she needed to add drama to the look.

Carla Gugino stole the spotlight at the Los Angeles premiere of her new action flick, “Faster,” in a shimmering Georges Chakra Couture dress, matching peep-toes, and chic updo. Her outfit is a bit bold (and a bit ice skater-y), but we love it!

Looking radiant in white, Halle Berry wore a stunning strapless dress by Pamella Roland to the screening of her new movie Frankie & Alice in New York. A simple diamond jewel encrusted clutch was all she needed to add a little gleaming polish to her look.

Across the country at NYC’s highly anticipated “Love and Other Drugs” premiere, Anne Hathaway took a risk (that totally paid off) by sporting this cute ‘n’ classy Valentino dress, which featured floral tiers and an enchanting bow.

Alexa Chung moved away from her trademark preppy chic look for something a little more ladylike as she attended the premiere of Love and Other Drugs. The gorgeous Brit worked a delicate silk floral Valentino SS11 dress teamed with pretty bow heels.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s a lady who knows what works for her, and a tailored Vivienne Westwood dress was as-ever, the perfect fit at the Harry Potter New York premiere. The Sex and the City star elongated her petite frame with a volumous skirt that sits just above the ankle to reveal her eye-catching Nicholas Kirkwood heels.

Beyonce Knowles looked marvelous in a beaded Naeem Khan mini and strappy Christian Louboutins while attending a screening of “I Am … World Tour” at the School of Visual Arts Theater in New York City.

Krysten Ritter arrived at the BFF & Baby wrap party in Hollywood wearing a silver sequin Reem Acra mini, Carla Amorim earrings and Valentino peep-toe heels.

Emma Roberts tucked her Zac Posen printed blouse into a pair of the designer’s form-fitting bondage pants for the launch party in New York.

Anna Paquin certainly knows how to work a body-con dress. The True Blood star, who hit the party with her new hubby and co-star Stephen Moyer, looked sexy in a fitted metallic shift with geometric panels. She teamed it with Hollywood’s go-to shoe: the peep-toe Louboutins.

Kate Bosworth got all dolled up for the premiere of The Warrior’s Way in a white floral and lace frock by Erdem and dainty, strappy metallic sandals. The fashion-savvy actress matched the retro-chic look with a vintage-style hairdo and a bright pink lipstick. Swoon!

“Burlesque” Los Angeles Premiere

Christina Aguilera looked lovely in an emerald green, empire waist, silk chiffon gown by Elie Saab, which she paired with Neil Lane jewels and loose waves.

Cher — “Burlesque’s” 64-year-old leading lady — turned back time and put women half her age to shame in a sparkling mini, lace shrug, fishnet stockings, and patent leather platform pumps.

Rebecca Gayheart wore a Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2010 dress. Her orchid/grey swirl jacquard dress with ruched sleeves was teamed with black peep-toes and a Judith Leiber clutch.

Julianne Hough wore a Georges Hobeika Fall 2010 dress. Her golden beige off-the-shoulder cocktail dress was beautifully accented with an embellished waistband. She teamed her dress with gold accessories which included a Judith Leiber clutch.

AnnaLynne McCord glimmered in metallic Christian Louboutin Ambertina sandals. She paired the glittery buckled sandals with a silver cocktail dress. AnnaLynne also added some volume to her two-tone locks.

Kristin Cavallari wore a stunning Zuhair Murad Fall 2010 dress. Her emerald green silk satin strapless dress with a pleated skirt had an amazing embellished bodice. Nude Sergio Rossi pumps and a wavy updo completed her look.

Khloe Kardashian and sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner wore designs from the Kardashians’ line for Bebe for the premiere.

Deby Mazar barely made this red and silver Carolina Herrera Fall 2010 jacquard one-sleeve dress work, so Debi didn’t stand a chance. She does herself no favours by adding those kitten heels.

Launch Of “2BHAPPY” Jewelry Collection

White dresses are all the rage these days, and Beyonce rocked a particularly fashionable one as she strutted her stuff at the Lorraine Schwartz jewelry launch. The stylish songstress perfectly paired her Antonio Berardi beauty with Cesare Paciotti sandals and an assortment of silver bracelets.

“Gossip Girl” fashionista Blake Lively made a statement in a nude fringed Versace Spring 2011 gown. Love her chunky bangles, but we’re not sure she should have pared that delicate dress with such heavy Christian Louboutin heels.

Reality starlet Kim Kardashian rocked the red carpet sans her rumored new beau Gabriel Aubrey, going solo in a black bustier mini with matching tights and heels.
