2010 was the year we wanted everything in Drew Barrymore’s wardrobe, but now it seems 2011 is shaping up to be even better! Barely out of the style spotlight, the actress has stormed into the new year working a fashion-forward zingy orange gown from Jil Sander’s lust-some SS11 collection. And sticking to the rules of colour, Drew let the dress do all the work, with a simple black Hunting Season clutch and loose, fuss-free, dip-dyed locks completing the look.

Lauren Conrad looked appropriately easy and breezy in a draped Quail minidress for Covergirl’s 50th anniversary celebration in West Hollywood. The gorgeous actress wore a simple but chic Versace Resort 2011 sleeveless dress with cute patterned pocket as she promoted her new movie Country Strong.

Leighton’s muted grey dress and Brian Atwood pumps were given a shot of colour at the People’s Choice Awards thanks to a coral-coloured corsage and matching drop earrings. Make like Leighton and inject your winter wardrobe with a neon accessory or two to get you in the mood for spring.

2010 British Fashion Awards

Victoria Beckham was uber-chic at the British Fashion Awards, held at London’s Savoy Hotel, in a long black gown of her own design. The super-star, who was flying solo at the event, lost out on the Designer Brand gong, but enjoyed the evening nonetheless, rubbing shoulders with Samantha Cameron, who has just joined the British Fashion Council as an advisor for London Fashion Week as of next February. The PM’s wife, who recently gave birth to daughter Florence, looked fantastic in a waist-cinching Osman Yousefzada gown.

Naomi Campbell was stunning at the British Fashion Awards in a carpet-sweeping gown by Alexander McQuuen. The supermodel was awarded the Special Recognition gong at the ceremony, paid homage to the late designer, and thanked the label’s current creative director, Sarah Burton, for making not one but two dresses for her to choose from for the evening. On stage Naomi also thanked her mother, Valerie Campbell, and her partner, Vladimir Doronin, for putting up with a “wild woman”.

A Chanel-clad Alexa Chung was crowned Style Icon of the Year at the British Fashion Awards. The gong, which was the only one to be voted on by the British public, was presented to her by singer Bryan Ferry.

Despite the bitter cold, a host of celebrities were spotted in spring/summer outfits, including Thandie Newton who teamed a pretty printed Peter Pilotto frock with super-strappy sandals by Nicholas Kirkwood (who picked up the Accessory Designer of the Year award).

German supermodel Claudia Schiffer rocked an asymmetrical cream, bronze and navy frock by London-based designer Mary Katrantzou. Opaque black leggings and snug black booties helped her to brave the wintery weather in style.

Emma Roberts showed a surprising bit of skin in a flirty little Julien MacDonald frock. She kept the short length from looking too scandalous with opauq black tights and black peep-toe ankle booties.

Calvin Klein spokesmodel Lara Stone slipped into a starkly minimalist little white sheath and black strappy sandals. It would have been nice to see her command the red carpet in an over-the-top ballgown, but she looked fantastic all the same.

Gilrs Aloud songstress Kimberley Walsh was pretty in a tulip-shaped frock in stand-out gold.

Daisy Lowe chose a dramatic black gown by Elie Saab and a matching Gothic-style clutch by Pauric Sweeney for the British Fashion Awards, where she caught up with A-list pals Alexa Chung and Alice Dellal.

Kelly Brook probably felt a night has been wasted if she hasn’t turned some heads. It’s safe to say this over-the-top corseted Suzie Turner dress did the trick, especially paired with those Jimmy Choo cage heels.

You may not recognise model Lily Cole because she’s had a hair makeover. The leggy lady has gone from flame red to chocolate brown and looked super-sexy at the event in a Julien Macdonald dress.

Professional ballroom dancer Kristina Rhianoff opted to wear a whimsical feathered strapless dress that might have been nabbed from the Dancing With the Stars wardrobe department.

Erin O’Connor looked retro chic in this lovely print chiffon cocktail dress. She also showed off a classic French twist.

Look Of The Week : Angelina, Katy, Wilde, Beau, Eva, Carey, Ricci, Saoirse, Emma, Anne, Zaldana, Wright

She hasn’t been spotted on a red carpet since “Salt’s” debut last summer, but Angelina Jolie made a triumphant return to the arrivals line Monday night at the world premiere of “The Tourist.” The box office beauty oozed glamour in her Atelier Versace gown — which featured a sexy, thigh-high slit — Ferragamo heels, simple earrings, and a dramatic ‘do.

Katy Perry appeared at another star-studded premiere that same night. The pop songstress strutted her stuff in an ethereal Elie Saab gown during the Los Angeles debut of “The Tempest,” which features her new hubby, Russell Brand.

Across the pond at the London premiere of “Tron: Legacy,” Olivia Wilde turned heads in a multi-colored Giorgio Armani dress, black Stella McCartney pumps, and jewels courtesy of Tiffany.

Olivia Wilde was also glowing at the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie Tron: Legacy. The actress channeled her inner disco diva by donning a gold sequined Pucci gown, which featured a keyhole neckline.

Right behind Olivia in the arrivals line … fellow “TRON: Legacy” looker Beau Garrett, who nearly upstaged her co-star in a burnt orange Giambattista Valli gown and nude platform peep-toes.

Meanwhile in Marrakech, Morocco (at the country’s international film festival), actress Eva Mendes attended the Tribute to the French Cinema in a golden Christian Dior gown. Freshly highlighted locks and an amber cocktail ring completed her flawless look.

Eva dialed down her sexy look for a very pretty look at the official photocall for the 2010 Marrakech Film Festival. She wore an Oscar de la Renta Spring 2011 dress. The white silk voile and lace embroidered dress was accented with a black ribbon. Nude pumps completed her 3rd look of this film festival.

Carey Mulligan has gone from strength to strength in the style department and her latest gown-outing at the BIFAs in London proved her winning credentials! Working a stunning red Prabal Gurung gown with ruffled corsage bodice, Ms Mulligan picked up the Best Actress Award for her role in Never Let Me Go. Carey, we salute you!

Carey Mulligan was spectacular in a floor-length Erdem gown and a bouffant beehive at the King’s Speech gala in Dubai. We love the fact that she’s eschewed all jewellery save a cocktail ring and kept make-up to a minimum to let the dress really do the talking.

Around the corner at the 2010 New York Stage and Film Winter Gala, Christina Ricci dropped jaws in an ombre-and-lace Zac Posen halter dress. The perfect hairdo, smoky eyes, and Yves St. Laurent patent leather pumps completed her flawless look.

Gorgeous Irish actress Saoirse Ronan paired an ethereal nude dress with chunky black heels at the Paris premiere of her new film, The Way Back. The stunning 16-year-old paired the edgy look with a very interesting hairstyle.

Emma Roberts — who you’ll soon see on the big screen in “Scream 4” — attended the 2010 British Independent Film Awards in a surprisingly affordable maxi dress, which retails for $160 at Topshop. What a steal!

Anne Hathaway sparkled in an embellished mini and patent leather sky-high heels at a “Love & Other Drugs” press conference in Sydney, Australia.

Is midnight blue the new black? Avatar star Zoe Saldana attended the Children’s Defense Fund gala in LA working a divine deep blue layered minidress with sheer shoulder detailing. She gave her look plenty of leg with some stacked patent platform pumps. Perfect!

Harry Potter starlet Bonnie Wright was fashion-forward at a cocktail party celebrating the launch of the new Miu Miu flagship store on London’s Bond Street in a black dress with leafy detailing from the fashion house’s spring/summer collection and a pair of teal platform pumps. Quirky, cool and oh-so-pretty.

Celebs On Street : Swift, Emma, Duff, Dunst, Gwen

Taylor Swift grabbed a hot coffee from Starbucks in Nashville on Wednesday (December 1). Her choice of coffee could be setting trends already, as she’s enjoying plenty of beverages on her dates with Jake Gyllenhaal. The rumoured new couple were spotted together in a coffee house this week, after spending Thanksgiving together.

Look Of The Week : Kim, Natalie, Carla, Halle, Hathaway, Alexa, Sarah, Beyonce, Krysten, Emma, Anna, Bosworth

Kim Kardashian chose a ’50s-chic gray sheath (with lace kick pleats!) for a Charmin event.  The entrepreneur should always go retro! The waist-enhancing silhouette of the vintage-inspired number flattered the multitasking star’s timeless curves.

Trust Natalie Portman to pick the simplest outfit and still be the most stunning gal in the room. The Black Swan actress was gorgeous in a little white dress with sheer overlay and bow-tie belt by John Galliano for Dior. A pair of black pumps and smokey eyes was all she needed to add drama to the look.

Carla Gugino stole the spotlight at the Los Angeles premiere of her new action flick, “Faster,” in a shimmering Georges Chakra Couture dress, matching peep-toes, and chic updo. Her outfit is a bit bold (and a bit ice skater-y), but we love it!

Looking radiant in white, Halle Berry wore a stunning strapless dress by Pamella Roland to the screening of her new movie Frankie & Alice in New York. A simple diamond jewel encrusted clutch was all she needed to add a little gleaming polish to her look.

Across the country at NYC’s highly anticipated “Love and Other Drugs” premiere, Anne Hathaway took a risk (that totally paid off) by sporting this cute ‘n’ classy Valentino dress, which featured floral tiers and an enchanting bow.

Alexa Chung moved away from her trademark preppy chic look for something a little more ladylike as she attended the premiere of Love and Other Drugs. The gorgeous Brit worked a delicate silk floral Valentino SS11 dress teamed with pretty bow heels.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s a lady who knows what works for her, and a tailored Vivienne Westwood dress was as-ever, the perfect fit at the Harry Potter New York premiere. The Sex and the City star elongated her petite frame with a volumous skirt that sits just above the ankle to reveal her eye-catching Nicholas Kirkwood heels.

Beyonce Knowles looked marvelous in a beaded Naeem Khan mini and strappy Christian Louboutins while attending a screening of “I Am … World Tour” at the School of Visual Arts Theater in New York City.

Krysten Ritter arrived at the BFF & Baby wrap party in Hollywood wearing a silver sequin Reem Acra mini, Carla Amorim earrings and Valentino peep-toe heels.

Emma Roberts tucked her Zac Posen printed blouse into a pair of the designer’s form-fitting bondage pants for the boutiques.com launch party in New York.

Anna Paquin certainly knows how to work a body-con dress. The True Blood star, who hit the Boutique.com party with her new hubby and co-star Stephen Moyer, looked sexy in a fitted metallic shift with geometric panels. She teamed it with Hollywood’s go-to shoe: the peep-toe Louboutins.

Kate Bosworth got all dolled up for the premiere of The Warrior’s Way in a white floral and lace frock by Erdem and dainty, strappy metallic sandals. The fashion-savvy actress matched the retro-chic look with a vintage-style hairdo and a bright pink lipstick. Swoon!

Look Of The Week : Emma, Dita, Minnie, Cassidy, Hurley, Mila, Michelle, Claire, Olivia, Cheryl, Nicky, Moss

Emma Roberts celebrated the opening of a Munich Escada store in an iridescent sequined dress from the brand and Brian Atwood peep-toes.

It was a night of glamour for Dita von Teese, who looked stunning poised at her dressing table creation in a ruby-red off-the-shoulder silk Moschino gown at the launch of the My Private Cointreau Coffret. Ever the vintage queen, she worked it with glossy pin curls and bold red lips.

Minnie Driver successfully donned a bright blue Marchesa gown, which featured an embellished neckline and short train, at “Conviction’s” U.K. debut.

Sparkles are all the rage this fall and Katie Cassidy is clearly a fan of the trend. The former “Melrose Place” minx stole the spotlight in a sequined Elie Tahari stunner at the grand opening of the designer’s NYC boutique.

Channelling that vintage Marilyn Monroe vibe for her new movie, Michelle Williams hit the LFF red carpet for the premiere of Blue Valentine, in a ladylike, sizzling red lace, mid-sleeved Erdem dress. With a hit of leopard print in her pumps and a neat box clutch purse, Michelle has gone for a Hitchcock heroine look and we LOVE it!

Claire Danes walked the red carpet at the London Film Festival premiere of The King’s Speech in a Prada dress. Time for a guest spot on Mad Men? Claire embodied retro femininity in a nipped-waist dress with a full skirt. She finished the look with patent pumps and a playful heart bracelet.

The ever-stylish Olivia Palermo gave us a lesson in making our wardrobe staples winter-ready as she wandered out and about in New York. The socialite worked a smart all black look, and gave her outfit added finesse by mixing textures in wet-look skinnies, a sleek blazer and shaggy fur gilet. Her favourite Chanel pumps added a subtle colour pop.

Leaving an interview at the Radio 1 studios, Cheryl Cole worked a cool casual combo of suede hiking boots, grey skinny jeans and a statement chain and lace detail jacket by Mulberry.

Nicky Hilton hit the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiere party in a leopard-print dress accented with a black clutch and pumps and rings from her own Nicky Hilton jewelry collection.

Kate Moss is one lady who knows how to make an entrance! Sporting a fab new fringe, La Moss arrived at the launch party for pal Bryan Ferry’s new album having of course, modelled for its front cover. The model went for an all black ensemble in skinny black trousers worn under a luxurious vintage-style fur and velvet frock coat – which really showed off her the rich shade of her lovely blonde locks.
