Fashion Review : 01/10/11

New “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez showed off her signature curves on New Year’s Eve in a sexy sequined $2,500 Herve Leger bandage dress upon arriving at Love — The Beatles Cirque du Soleil show — at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Nevada. Caramel-colored locks, stacked bracelets, a diamond cocktail ring, and mirrored peep-toes completed her flawless look.

Meanwhile, at Marquee nightclub in Sin City’s swanky new Cosmopolitan hotel, former “City” star Whitney Port arrived for the Jay-Z/Coldplay New Year’s Eve concert in a fashion-forward Jill Stuart frock, statement necklace, and strappy stilettos.

Also spotted sporting a similar shade … Taraji P. Henson (“Hustle & Flow”), who rocked a $215 ruffled Elizabeth and James micro mini and $800 gold Yves St. Laurent sandals.

2010 was the year we wanted everything in Drew Barrymore’s wardrobe, but now it seems 2011 is shaping up to be even better! Barely out of the style spotlight, the actress has stormed into the new year working a fashion-forward zingy orange gown from Jil Sander’s lust-some SS11 collection. And sticking to the rules of colour, Drew let the dress do all the work, with a simple black Hunting Season clutch and loose, fuss-free, dip-dyed locks completing the look.

Lauren Conrad looked appropriately easy and breezy in a draped Quail minidress for Covergirl’s 50th anniversary celebration in West Hollywood. Conrad embodied classic California glam, even as a brunette! The designer accented her soft beige dress with Jimmy Choo gladiators and a stack of diamond bracelets from Dana Rebecca Designs.

LC’s former “Hills” co-star, Whitney Port followed closely behind in a pale blue frock and a smile. Sparkling footwear and a gold clutch completed her pretty look.

Presenter Cat Deeley mingled with Hollywood’s finest at the CoverGirl Anniversary party in LA wearing a stunning black sequinned vintage style gown. She wore her trademark long locks in soft, centre-parted waves.

There’s no stopping Taylor Swift these days when it comes to stunning style! The gorgeous singer posed for pics at the CoverGirl 50th Anniversary celebrations in a show-stopping sequinned black sweetheart Mark & James dress teamed with strappy D&G heels. She added some extra sparkle with Neil Lane jewels and a slick of red lippy for a final flourish. We love it!

For the People’s Choice Awards, Taylor Swift complemented a blush J. Mendel design with strappy nude sandals and coral, diamond and pearl Neil Lane jewelry. Sweet has never looked so sexy. Swift’s ballerina-ready dress seemed to defy gravity with its sultry illusion neckline.

Kim Kardashian went retro for the People’s Choice Awards in a metallic Catherine Malandrino dress, gold Rina Limor necklace, Amrapali studs, a structured Chanel clutch and Christian Louboutin peep-toes.

Twilight mega-star Kristen Stewart was a veritable golden girl at the People’s Choice Awards in a spangly minidress and lusciously-loose locks. K-Stew, who attended the ceremony on the arm of her on-and off-screen beau Robert Pattinson, picked up the coveted award for Favourite Movie Actress. Meanwhile, her latest film, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, was nominated Favourite Drama Movie and Favourite Movie over all. Proof positive that everything this girl touches turns to gold.

Emma Roberts worked a ruffled Dior LBD to perfection at the People’s Choice Awards, which she teamed with a pair of Brian Atwood’s blush satin Maniac pumps. We heart!

Minka Kelly arrived at the People’s Choice Awards in a lace Vivienne Westwood bustier mini accessorized with suede Brian Atwood pumps and Neil Lane diamonds.

Black Swan star Mila Kunis showed off her style prowess at the People’s Choice Awards in a gorgeous olive-hued strapless ruffled dress by J.Mendel. Keeping her look pared-down but very pretty, the actress showed off her silky, luscious locks wearing them in a smooth side-parting.

Selena Gomez’s first of two outfits at the People’s Choice Awards was this delicate frill-shouldered number. Nude is a hot colour for the new season and the blush shade of her dress complemented her dark locks and olive skin perfectly. The teen sensation, who picked up the gong for Favourite Break-Out Artist, later changed into a flowing maxi-dress for her performance of “A Year Without Rain” with her band, The Scene.

Selena Gomez performed at the People’s Choice Awards in a cascading butterfly-print Irina Shabayeva gown, Isharya hoops and strappy metallic platform heels.

Red heels and a Maia N. clutch were colorful additions to Malin Akerman’s pretty pleated J. Mendel sheath and Neil Lane diamonds at the People’s Choice Awards.

Gossip Girl Leighton Meester warmed up for her stunning appearance at the People’s Choice Awards by first hitting the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The gorgeous actress wore a simple but chic Versace Resort 2011 sleeveless dress with cute patterned pocket as she promoted her new movie Country Strong.

Leighton’s muted grey dress and Brian Atwood pumps were given a shot of colour at the People’s Choice Awards thanks to a coral-coloured corsage and matching drop earrings. Make like Leighton and inject your winter wardrobe with a neon accessory or two to get you in the mood for spring.

Leighton launched the Portraits of Hope Art Project in a Missoni graphic print mini and cardigan, suede platform booties and a structured tote.

Selita Ebanks rang in the new year in a fitted celadon mini and sparkling silver accessories.

Selita chose an asymmetric metallic design and black pumps for The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas grand opening.

Emmanuelle Chriqui attended a New Years Eve bash in a sheer beaded Bird by Juicy Couture blouse, skinny Habitual Denim leggings and platform booties. Chriqui made her monochromatic black party-ready. The actress played with texture from her flowing locks down to her suede heels.

Kristin Davis arrived at the grand opening of The Cosmopolitan in a flowing violet Prada dress and nude platform heels.

Emmy Rossum celebrated the grand opening of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in a formfitting blush Julien Macdonald cocktail dress with gold Jimmy Choo sandals, a Misela clutch and Carla Amorim jewelry. What a way to kick off the new year! Rossum looked stunning and sexy in a perfectly tailored fringe design.

Emmy celebrated the grand opening of Marquee at The Cosmopolitan in a modern Bottega Veneta nude dress accessorized with a Swarovski clutch, Coomi rose quartz earrings and strappy Jimmy Choo sandals.

“Dancing With the Stars” contestant Brandy shimmered in a sequined mini, bedazzled peep-toe booties, and a smile at the grand opening of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Beautiful Blake Lively hit the Las Vegas party scene with fellow fashionista Florence Welch in a pair of killer sequinned leggings and plunging Christian Louboutin booties. The Gossip Girl kept the rest of her outfit subdued to allow the cobalt trousers to really shine. Perfect for Sin City!

At Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, Jennifer Hudson accentuated her shrinking waistline in a red-hot dress, while fellow diva/Black Eyed Peas frontwoman Fergie stepped forward in a strapless studded mini, which featured a tulle train.

Another fan of brilliant black dresses is former “Firefly” star Summer Glau, who impressed in a textured head-turner and fab cocktail ring at the premiere of NBC’s superhero drama “The Cape.”

Ellen Pompeo suited it up in a sleek black pantsuit and a slicked-back bun at the grand opening of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Kirsten Dunst stayed classy at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in a collared cream dress and pointy-toe black heels.

Z100 Jingle Ball 2010

Katy Perry showed off her bubbly personality at Z100’s Jingle Ball. The “Teenage Dream” singer hit the red carpet in a Nutcracker costume complete with Louboutin over-the-knee-boots. Too Cute!

A red carpet’s never complete with out Kim Kardashian. The reality star showed off her killer curves at Z100’s Jingle Ball in a cream cocktail dress and sparkling pumps. This signature look never gets old!

Selena Gomez rocked a see-through black top covered with red scarf, sparkle mini shorts, leggings, and studded footwear at the red carpet.

Selena slipped into an Asos Asymmetric Corset Maxi dress while performed her hits “Round and Round,” “A Year Without Rain,” and “Naturally” at the show.

Emily Osment wore a gold shimmery mini dress, which she paired with leggings and black pumps. Emily played it fun with her swept side do and red lips. She completed her look with black necklace and bracelet, also studded ring.

Hayley Williams wore a vintage-style black velvet dress with her B.O.Y. cardigan, sparkly silver tights and pink socks, and Dr. Martens boots.

Hayley wore a sleeveless Christmas sweater with her Dogpile red plaid pants and Dr. Marten boots while performed with her band, Paramore.

KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball 2010

Katy Perry’s look has gotten slightly more demure since she wed Russell Brand—slightly. Her purple Zuhair Murad dress was almost completely sheer, save a swath of color from the very tops of her thighs to just above her bustline.

Headliner Katy Perry gave a holiday-themed performance at the KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Sunday. What do you think of her fun, snowman-inspired frock?

Selena Gomez, 18, sang her grownup song, “A Year Without Rain,” while wearing an embellished strapless top and pants with a risque high-cut slit. The starlet is one of the artists who will be heading to the East Coast to perform as part of Z100’s Jingle Ball at NYC’s Madison Square Garden on Friday. Justin Bieber will also join the concert there!

Disney starlet Selena Gomez—one of the evening’s performers—played up a simple ensemble with eye-catching accessories and some fierce booties.

Actress Victoria Justice paired her hot little bodycon dress with a pair of opaque tights. It is December, after all! But the highlight of her look had to have been her Ruthie Davis “Implant” pumps.

Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams slipped on her favorite cardigan over a super-short pleated skirt and comfy slip-ons. She changed into a pair of bright plaid pants to perform, avoiding any potential wardrobe malfunctions.

Modern Family star Sarah Hyland kept her look low-key, preferring to leave the flashy stuff to the pop stars. Her gray skinny jeans and loose-fitting sweater made a stylish concert-going ensemble.

2011 Grammy Nominations Concert

Katy Perry was looking gorgeous wearing a Georges Chakra Fall 2010 Couture dress. Her gold sequined off-the-shoulder dress was paired with nude Brian Atwood pumps. Katy loves Lebanese designers as much as I do, but I wish she’d shortened this dress so it was above the knee.

Selena Gomez wore a black ASOS asymmetrical corset maxi dress. The dress has a light floaty multi layered skirt which reveals her delicious Giuseppe Zanotti animal print heels. Love that she didn’t over accessorize the look as she only added a few subtle jewels.

Miranda Lambert looked red hot in her Rock & Republic Braiden red suede pumps. The fiery pumps feature black platforms and looked perfect with the sassy singer’s black and white mini dress. Miranda added a little glitz to her arm with a few sparkling bangle bracelets.

HayleyWilliams was always beating to her own drum. And that’s why we love her! Here she chooses a unique red carpet ensemble with olive high-waisted military pants. She wore a thick leather belt and green cardigan. She topped off the look with combat boots and a fiery red ‘do. Blunt cut bangs and a loose bun completed her look.

Selena Gomez : A Year With Promo

Continuing her European travels,  Selena Gomez was spotted out and about in Paris, France earlier today (October 19).

The Disney darling looked to be having a great time as she left her hotel and headed off to NRJ radio studios to promote her new album.

On Monday (October 18), Selena Gomez looked to be enjoying herself as she took care of some promotional duties for her new album “A Year Without Rain”.

In related news, Disney has recently announced that “Wizards of Waverly Place” will be kicking off its fourth season soon.

The premiere will hit the airwaves Friday, November 12, and a second television movie is also in the works.

Fashion Report : VMA 2010 White Carpet

Lady Gaga looked rather conservative (for her) while making her grand entrance at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in a dramatic Renaissance-inspired gown from Alexander McQueen’s last collection. The pop star topped off her blue, lilac, and gray locks with a gold feather headpiece.

Usher clearly inspired his protege Justin Bieber’s ensemble. Not only did the duo come clad in head-to-toe black, but both fellas even tucked their pants into their shoes and donned black shades. Unfortunately, the 16-year-old pop star looked a little girly in his lady glasses while posing with the suave 31-year-old King of R&B.

Katy Perry probably described her baring black-and-white dress best herself when she said, “I feel like an ice skater. I also feel like I got a tattoo when I was drunk.” Rainbow Brite hair and nails adorned with images of her hubby-to-be, Russell Brand, completed the look.

Best New Artist nominee Ke$ha showed off her stems in a micro mini, which she made out of a trash bag! The “Blah Blah Blah” party girl paired her creative frock with turquoise rings, patent leather platform heels, a silver clutch, and an enormous braid.

“Twilight” hottie Ashley Greene delivered a model-like look in an embellished corset, ruffled mini, and freshly-highlighted tresses.

“Modern Family’s” Sofia Vergara looked almost too classy for the MTV event in a sexy sequined sheath and patent-leather pumps.

Although we think Audrina Patridge looks better in gold, the reality cutie still glittered in a silver mini, which she accessorized with diamond bangles and sparkling, strappy heels.

Audrina’s former “Hills” co-stars, Stephanie Pratt and Lauren Bosworth, also got gussied up for the MTV event. While Steph looked like a sun-kissed California girl in a sheer sequined Nicole Miller dress, Lo paired her bouffant ‘do with a sassy strapless gold frock.

Disney darling Selena Gomez failed to impress in a tin foil-like frock, chintzy-looking heels, and an abundance of eyeshadow.

Selena’s fellow teen titan Miranda Cosgrove (“iCarly”) wore yet another matronly ensemble that belonged on someone three times her age.

30 Seconds to Mars bandmates Tomo Milicevic, Jared Leto, and Shannon Leto hit the white carpet in shades of gray. Jared — who is just as hot as he was when he starred on “My So-Called Life” — needs to tell his older brother Shannon that tight-rolling your pants (particularly your dress pants) is an ’80s trend that should never be revived.

Rosario Dawson looked slightly uncomfortable and a bit outdated in her ruched pleather dress, teal stilettos, and Joker-like lipstick.

Brenda Song — who appears in the upcoming flick “The Social Network” — was ready to rock in leather pants, a spangled top, and big hoops.

Let’s be honest, Ciara also deserves a second look. The R&B songstress dropped jaws at the MTV event in a fashion-forward Givenchy dress, statement earrings, and pink wedges. Va-va-voom!

Emma Stone hits the red carpet in a black Pucci mini dress. Emma finished her look with Neil Lane jewelry and Giuseppe Zanotti Design shoes. She also rocked a Dana Rebecca Designs Samantha Elizabeth Super Seven Quartz & Diamond Ring and Kara Ackerman Designs Inside Out Hoops in Silver & Diamond.

Marilyn Manson’s former flame Evan Rachel Wood pursed her lips and struck a pose in an ill-fitting, one-shoulder dress and thigh-high boots.

In Photos : Teen Choice Awards 2010

Making for another memorable year, the 2010 Teen Choice Awards took place in Universal City, California on Sunday (August 8). Held at the Gibson Amphitheatre, Katy Perry tended to hosting duties with help from the guys of “Glee,” including Chris Coifer, Kevin McHale, Cory Monteith and Mark Salling.

Before making a staggering number of costume changes, Katy Perry made her Teen Choice 2010 debut in this glittery mini as she made her way on stage.

Megan Fox worked the green carpet in stylish separates with backcombed locks.

Selena Gomez was undoubtedly one of the best-dressed stars at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards in LA Sunday, thanks to her fierce BCBG Max Azria frock and magnificent, metallic heels.

The “Twilight” starlet stunned as usual in an elegant, strapless Valentino dress, a Killian clutch, and peep-toe pumps by Ferragamo.

The curvaceous reality star looked perfectly polished but a tad overdressed for the informal soiree in a one-shoulder, embellished dress, matching platform pumps, and sleek ponytail.

Lea Michele’s trim pins and bronzed glow were a source of envy as she took to the red carpet in this sparkly Giambattista Valli mini matched with some towering tan heels.

The “Gossip Girl” hunk and star of the new movie “Twelve” was deliciously rugged in a tan button-down, dark denim, and broken-in boots.

Kristen Bell popped a pose in a cute, orange-and-nude frock by Stella McCartney and matching peep-toes.

She looked better than she usually does, but The Duff kinda put us to sleep in her tired Max Azria bandage dress and snooze-inducing nude pumps.

The Vampire Diaries cast got together for a snap on the green carpet. The boys put their best foot forward in matching biker boots, but Nina Dobrev really stole the show in a wow-worthy metallic corset dress.

Jenna Dewan gave husband Channing Tatum some moral support as they breezed along the Teen Choice blue carpet.

“Gossip Girl’s” reigning vixen took a risk (that truly paid off!) in an interesting Emilio Pucci mini, Cathy Waterman jewels, and Christian Louboutin pom pom-adorned peep-toes.

Emma Roberts earned bonus points for her fun frock by Brian Reyes, but those brown leather booties did her no favors.

“Glee” heartthrob Cory Monteith, one of the evening’s many hosts, achieved just the right blend of elegance –via his classic suit — and playfulness, provided by his fun footwear.

Yvonne Strahovski was breathtaking in a textured white mini dress and gold clutch, punched up with peep-toes in a bright, impossible-to-miss shade, and giant hoop earrings

We love teen queen Victoria Justice’s look from her summer-perfect centre-parted updo to her on-trend leopard print heels.

Naya Rivera opted to go retro in a black-and-white-print, ’50s-style dress and minimalist accessories. The result is lovely, but lacking the wow factor.

The Twi-boys took what we imagine was a very quick rest in between picking up a staggering 12 awards for the film sensation.

Sandra Bullock and her The Proposal co-star Betty White get down and dance to Lil’ Jon “Get Low”. The 46-year-old actress won for Choice Movie Actress for her Osar-winning role in The Blind Side.
