Fashion Report : VMA 2010 White Carpet

Lady Gaga looked rather conservative (for her) while making her grand entrance at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in a dramatic Renaissance-inspired gown from Alexander McQueen’s last collection. The pop star topped off her blue, lilac, and gray locks with a gold feather headpiece.

Usher clearly inspired his protege Justin Bieber’s ensemble. Not only did the duo come clad in head-to-toe black, but both fellas even tucked their pants into their shoes and donned black shades. Unfortunately, the 16-year-old pop star looked a little girly in his lady glasses while posing with the suave 31-year-old King of R&B.

Katy Perry probably described her baring black-and-white dress best herself when she said, “I feel like an ice skater. I also feel like I got a tattoo when I was drunk.” Rainbow Brite hair and nails adorned with images of her hubby-to-be, Russell Brand, completed the look.

Best New Artist nominee Ke$ha showed off her stems in a micro mini, which she made out of a trash bag! The “Blah Blah Blah” party girl paired her creative frock with turquoise rings, patent leather platform heels, a silver clutch, and an enormous braid.

“Twilight” hottie Ashley Greene delivered a model-like look in an embellished corset, ruffled mini, and freshly-highlighted tresses.

“Modern Family’s” Sofia Vergara looked almost too classy for the MTV event in a sexy sequined sheath and patent-leather pumps.

Although we think Audrina Patridge looks better in gold, the reality cutie still glittered in a silver mini, which she accessorized with diamond bangles and sparkling, strappy heels.

Audrina’s former “Hills” co-stars, Stephanie Pratt and Lauren Bosworth, also got gussied up for the MTV event. While Steph looked like a sun-kissed California girl in a sheer sequined Nicole Miller dress, Lo paired her bouffant ‘do with a sassy strapless gold frock.

Disney darling Selena Gomez failed to impress in a tin foil-like frock, chintzy-looking heels, and an abundance of eyeshadow.

Selena’s fellow teen titan Miranda Cosgrove (“iCarly”) wore yet another matronly ensemble that belonged on someone three times her age.

30 Seconds to Mars bandmates Tomo Milicevic, Jared Leto, and Shannon Leto hit the white carpet in shades of gray. Jared — who is just as hot as he was when he starred on “My So-Called Life” — needs to tell his older brother Shannon that tight-rolling your pants (particularly your dress pants) is an ’80s trend that should never be revived.

Rosario Dawson looked slightly uncomfortable and a bit outdated in her ruched pleather dress, teal stilettos, and Joker-like lipstick.

Brenda Song — who appears in the upcoming flick “The Social Network” — was ready to rock in leather pants, a spangled top, and big hoops.

Let’s be honest, Ciara also deserves a second look. The R&B songstress dropped jaws at the MTV event in a fashion-forward Givenchy dress, statement earrings, and pink wedges. Va-va-voom!

Emma Stone hits the red carpet in a black Pucci mini dress. Emma finished her look with Neil Lane jewelry and Giuseppe Zanotti Design shoes. She also rocked a Dana Rebecca Designs Samantha Elizabeth Super Seven Quartz & Diamond Ring and Kara Ackerman Designs Inside Out Hoops in Silver & Diamond.

Marilyn Manson’s former flame Evan Rachel Wood pursed her lips and struck a pose in an ill-fitting, one-shoulder dress and thigh-high boots.

‘Going The Distance’ Hits LA !

Drew Barrymore rocked her Malandrino gown, a Balmain belt, YSL pumps and a Samantha Wills snake bracelet and ring. Drew’s always multitasking! The producer/director/actress chose a brocade gown that both reflected her golden glow and featured handy, no-clutch-required pockets.

Beckinsale chose a white Versace shift with polka-dot accents. Kate finished the look with black satin pumps, Baccarat jewelry and a cylinder clutch.

Christina Applegate did maternity style right in a formfitting Max Mara dress, blush suede Brian Atwood pumps and Loree Rodkin gems.

Kelli Garner donned a black sheath dress with shear and shimmery detailing. She paired her frock with black suede pumps and a knotted updo.

Malin Akerman rocked a tie-dye J. Crew bustier dress, a silver satin clutch and gray Aldo heels for the Going the Distance premiere

Stephanie Pratt pairs her lingerie-inspired LBD with peep-toe Louboutin booties.

Jennifer Stone kept it cute in a mini dress from Gypsy 05 and headed off with the cast after the movie to the after party in Hollywood. She pulls her long hair to the side in a flirty fish tail !

Natalie Morales paired her silver strappy sandals with a black cocktail dress. Love her gorgeous loose bun !

Night Of Entertainment Party

Sporting gorgeous blunt bangs, Kim Kardashian hit the red carpet Thursday night to celebrate the return of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” in a formfitting strapless LBD and leopard-print Louboutins at Trousdale in West Hollywood.

Kourtney Kardasian rocked yet another black mini dress and a pair of strappy leopard printed heels completed her look.

Stephanie Pratt attended the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians/The Spin Crowd “premiere party held at The Rousdale in West Hollywood, California and wore a black Topshop Cowl Back playsuit worn with black slingbacks. She added a pop of pink carrying an Alexander McQueen Brass Knuckle satin clutch.

Maria Menounos sported her sleek blazer, printed tops, leggings, funky footwear with a classic ponytail. Look at that silver dangling earrings, so fetch !

Kelly Osbourne also showed up for the soiree with an all-black ensemble, looking like she’d just lost a fight with her hair dryer.

Sophie Monk looked fabulous in a trendy cocktail dress and her gorgeous sleek hair do.

Sporting a bouffant ’60s-style hairdo, Drew Barrymore positively glowed in a mosaic chain mail frock and nude Yves St. Laurent platform pumps at the Nylon + Express August Denim Issue Party in West Hollywood Tuesday night. Where did Drew find her gorgeous dress? “It was $25 and she bought it at a vintage store in Austin, Texas,” her rep told

Carmen Electra was surprisingly demure in a lacy, tiered mini, bow-adorned belt, and black heels.

Opting for a casual ensemble, Lake Bell paired a delicate floral mini with a sheer olive top and a black sleeveless zipped vest. Suede booties and a fold-over clutch completed her look.

“X-Men” hottie James Marsden proved that the simplest things in life — such as a soft gray sweater and perfectly fitted jeans — are often the best. Yum.

Channing Tatum’s better half, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, rocked the red carpet in a cute, textured LBD and two-tone peep-toe booties.

Former “Hills” starlet Stephanie Pratt’s tanzilla skin tone was dangerously close to matching the color of her dress.

Shenae Grimes deivered some major fashion disaster with her denim shorts, tube top, and animal-print cape.

Looking more 17 than 37, Gabrielle Union was deliciously summery in a floral print mini, tailored white blazer, and funky, strappy sandals.

The Hills : Glammed-Up Wrap Party

During six seasons of  “The Hills,” the ladies always managed to leave an impression when it came to fashion. It was no different when the stylish castmembers arrived to walk the red carpet at Los Angeles’ Roosevelt Hotel, just before the show’s series finale was set to air on Tuesday night (July 13).

Although Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port and Heidi Montag were notably absent from the pre-show carpet, the rest of the “Hills” cast showed up in their finest to celebrate “The Hills Live: A Hollywood Ending” aftershow. And while the guys stepped out in casual looks, the girls mostly opted for designer mini-dresses.

Lo Bosworth, one of the first to arrive, bared her shoulders in a short, white Tadashi Shoji dress that she said was straight from the designer’s latest runway collection. Her pal Kristin Cavallari had one of the night’s standout looks, decked out in a gorgeous form-fitting, flesh-tone dress that was delicately crisscrossed with silver sparkles. Unfortunately, though Kristin’s dress was generating lots of talk, the reality-TV star couldn’t recall the name of its designer. (Her co-star Frankie Delgado tried in vain to help by searching for a tag.)

Both Lo and Kristin opted for neutral colors on the red carpet, but Audrina Patridge mixed things up a bit, arriving in a bright purple mini with cutouts at the waist and along the shoulder. Like Audrina, Stephanie Pratt also opted for color. And while Stephanie’s dress might have been a last-minute find — she told MTV News she’d gone shopping the morning of the finale — it was a really good one. Her strapless Hérve Léger dress, accented in various shades of blue, was another one of our favorites of the night.

The boys took no cues from the “Hills” girls when it came to getting dressed for the big finale, toning down the glam factor entirely. Brody Jenner and best friend Frankie ditched suits in favor of jeans. Brody sported a black-and-white, plaid button-down with dark jeans. And though he paired the look with big sunglasses and a fitted cap, the one accessory we didn’t get to see was Brody’s latest tattoo. The “Hills” heartthrob recently inked the name of his girlfriend, singer Avril Lavigne, on his arm.

Frankie shared Brody’s dress code, wearing a pair of jeans and a simple black T-shirt, letting his footwear grab the spotlight. Frankie’s red-soled Jordans nearly trumped the ladies’ red-soled Christian Louboutins.
