2010 was the year we wanted everything in Drew Barrymore’s wardrobe, but now it seems 2011 is shaping up to be even better! Barely out of the style spotlight, the actress has stormed into the new year working a fashion-forward zingy orange gown from Jil Sander’s lust-some SS11 collection. And sticking to the rules of colour, Drew let the dress do all the work, with a simple black Hunting Season clutch and loose, fuss-free, dip-dyed locks completing the look.

Lauren Conrad looked appropriately easy and breezy in a draped Quail minidress for Covergirl’s 50th anniversary celebration in West Hollywood. Selena Gomez’s first of two outfits at the People’s Choice Awards was this delicate frill-shouldered number. Nude is a hot colour for the new season and the blush shade of her dress complemented her dark locks and olive skin perfectly. The teen sensation, who picked up the gong for Favourite Break-Out Artist, later changed into a flowing maxi-dress for her performance of “A Year Without Rain” with her band, The Scene.

Leighton’s muted grey dress and Brian Atwood pumps were given a shot of colour at the People’s Choice Awards thanks to a coral-coloured corsage and matching drop earrings. Make like Leighton and inject your winter wardrobe with a neon accessory or two to get you in the mood for spring.

The City star Whitney Port worked the monochromatic look to perfection by layering a black blazer over a short white dress. Grey stockings and booties add a bit of a rock chick edge.

Rashida Jones mixed denim for the event. The actress paired a relaxed jacket and tailored trousers with bowed heels and a chain necklace.

Nicky Hilton showed up in an edgy yet ladylike leather LBD. Her dress featured a high-neck and A-line skirt, but the material made it totally badass.

Jessica Stam opted for an attention-grabbing sparkly LBD, which was appropriate since she was the hostess for the evening.

Nicollette Sheridan totally missed the mark in a bizarre all black get-up. The 47-year-old wore a strange fur panelled mini skirt and a heavily embroidered shirt. She decided on a pair of pastel pink suede peep toe shoes which looked terrible against her black opaque tights. Not helping the overall look Sheridan wore her hair pulled back tightly from her face and minimal make-up.

Shannen Doherty looked wild in her leather black vest, black pants and suede knee-high boots.

Jaime King tried to dress her ‘The Archive 1887’ tee with some SERIOUS earrings, a long metallic scarf, and a swipe of bright red lipstick. So overdone !

Eva Amurri kept it simple in futuristic black dress paired it with black clutch and two-toned pumps.

Fashion Report : 2010 American Music Awards

Favorite Country Female winner Taylor Swift was unrecognizable in a surprisingly chic Collette Dinnigan mini, Jimmy Choo heels, and new, bang-enhanced ‘do upon arriving at the 38th American Music Awards in downtown Los Angeles.

Thankfully, Rihanna decided to tone down her Ronald McDonald red hair for the AMAs! As a result, the “Only Girl (In the World)” singer looked ravishing in a lace gown by Elie Saab, which perfectly matched her dark curls and showed just a hint of skin.

Miley Cyrus — who turns 18 on Tuesday — proved she’s not a little girl anymore in a chiffon Marchesa mini, which featured a fun, flowing train. Christian Louboutin “Maralena” stilettos and Neil Lane bling completed her lovely look.

Jada Pinkett Smith donned a daring Emilio Pucci masterpiece and gold Christian Louboutin gladiator booties.

“We R Who We R” songstress Ke$ha sported yet another tangled eyesore and disastrous ‘do. Will she ever learn that less is more? Probably not.

Pink debuted a new silver coif and easily hid her burgeoning baby bump in a ruffled dress, while hubby Carey Hart kept it classy in head-to-toe black. Love this couple!

Katy Perry — who typically makes the worst-dressed list — turned heads in a feminine Badgley Mischka frock and Brian Atwood platform peep-toes.

Fergie — who won the Favorite Pop/Rock Band trophy alongside her fellow Black Eyed Peas — was dressed for success in an embellished mini, from Indian designers Falguni and Shane Peacock, which featured exaggerated shoulder pads and feather detailing.

Fortunately, Avril Lavigne ditched her signature hoodie in favor of a black-and-white print mini for the event. The punk princess accessorized with chain-adorned booties and plenty of spiky, studded bangles.

How hot is Kelly Osbourne? The reality star rocked big blond hair, big bold rings, and a black frock that accentuated her fabulous new physique.

Keri Hilson played in safe in a black crocodile mini and two-toned feathered ‘do!

The always stunning Heidi Klum left little to the imagination in her see-through lace getup.

The multi-talented Jenny McCarthy rocked the red carpet in an asymmetrical, Stella McCartney sequined sparkler, sky-high heels, and fab pompadour.

“No Ordinary Family” star Julie Benz was sophisticated in a black Chanel number with gold accents and sparkling stilettos.

Sheryl Crow was boho chic in a paisley maxi dress for the American Music Awards 2010.

It’s too bad “Dancing With the Stars” pro Cheryl Burke paired her cute champagne-colored frock with clunky embellished platforms.

Designer and The City star Whitney Port showed off her perfect pins in a draped mini. She gave the delicate printed frock a tough edge with charcoal grey heels and a simple waist belt.

Actress Stana Katic got into the spirit of the event by wearing a sexy silver Oday Shakar Fall 2010 plunging dress with matching metallic pumps and silver clutch.

Singer-songwriter Mandy Moore looked worked an ultra-modern look for the night in a sequin Matthew Williamson mini and nude Jimmy Choo heels.

Rihanna opened the night sporting a bikini-ensemble for her three-song medley ‘Loved The Way U Lie’,’What’s My Name’, & ‘Only Girl In The World’.

Rihanna also popped a pose backstage in this Elie Saab stunner, which featured dramatic draping and a thigh-high slit. We much prefer this look to the cranberry-colored catastrophe she wore on the red carpet, don’t you?

Taylor Swift changed into an all black skinny pants and blazer ensemble for her dramatic “Back to December/Apologize” mashup.

Christina Aguilera performed “Express” from her new movie debut, Burlesque. Ms. Aguilera looked like the perfect burlesque songstress in her sexy glittery bodysuit.

Whitney Port : ‘The City’ Of Coffee

Fresh off of the announcement that her MTV show’s been canceled, Whitney Port was looking for a cheer-me-up as she headed out to get pampered in Beverly Hills on Tuesday (October 26).

The 25-year-old reality star/designer was joined by a gal pal as the two lovely ladies sipped on their coffee after finishing up a mutual mani-pedi session.

Earlier in the day, Miss Port took to Twitter to talk about “The City” coming to an end, as she wrote, “It’s always sad when one major chapter in your life comes to a close, but for me, this is the beginning of an entirely new one.”

“I loved filming The City. It was just such an adventure and I’m so grateful for every opportunity it gave me,” she continued. “I want to thank you all for your continued support, you have no idea how much you mean to me. I’ll be keeping you up to speed on everything going on in my life right here on my blog. I love you guys!!!!”

Whitney Port : Shows Off Some Leg !

Whitney Port might want to rethink the age old adage that you can never be too rich or too thin.

The City reality star was spotted in New York yesterday dressed in a maroon mini-skirt that did nothing to disguise her painfully thin legs.

Whitney, 25, has never been on the heavy side, and has always looked skinny, but recently she appears to be thinner than ever.

Port once told US Weekly that she has ‘never eaten pasta’ and it shows, it appears that there isn’t an inch to pinch on Whitney’s 5’10’ frame which weighs in at a reported 115lbs.

Whitney claimed that she gained ‘love handles’ after leaving college and has since embarked on a strict diet and workout regime.

She totally avoids carbs, sugar and fried foods and workouts regularly with a personal trainer, takes long walks, plays basketball and bike rides.

Whitney says she is now: ‘Satisfied with my body. I feel healthy and strong.’

Whitney Port and Ben Nemtin : Kitson Couple

Whitney Port was spotted out in West Hollywood Tuesday night (August 17). She attended an event at Kitson with her boyfriend Ben Nemtin, wearing a gorgeous low cut black and white striped dress and black patent booties the star showed off her very slim thighs and boyish upper body.

The Hills alum recently claimed she cares more about being healthy than being skinny – visiting the gym three to four times a week, combining strength training and cardio.

‘I’m definitely not trying to lose any weight – just to be healthy,’ she tells OK! magazine.

‘I learned from [former trainer] Donny Connolly to focus on being strong, not just being skinny’.

When it comes to food, I’m a really big snacker,’ she says. ‘If I don’t constantly have energy from food then I get in a bad mood.’

With the future of The City up in the air, the designer is working on her next collection as well as a possible new TV show called ‘Hollywood is like high school with money.’

The Hills : Glammed-Up Wrap Party

The_Hills_Cast

During six seasons of  “The Hills,” the ladies always managed to leave an impression when it came to fashion. It was no different when the stylish castmembers arrived to walk the red carpet at Los Angeles’ Roosevelt Hotel, just before the show’s series finale was set to air on Tuesday night (July 13).

Although Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port and Heidi Montag were notably absent from the pre-show carpet, the rest of the “Hills” cast showed up in their finest to celebrate “The Hills Live: A Hollywood Ending” aftershow. And while the guys stepped out in casual looks, the girls mostly opted for designer mini-dresses.

The_Hills_Finale_1

Lo Bosworth, one of the first to arrive, bared her shoulders in a short, white Tadashi Shoji dress that she said was straight from the designer’s latest runway collection. Her pal Kristin Cavallari had one of the night’s standout looks, decked out in a gorgeous form-fitting, flesh-tone dress that was delicately crisscrossed with silver sparkles. Unfortunately, though Kristin’s dress was generating lots of talk, the reality-TV star couldn’t recall the name of its designer. (Her co-star Frankie Delgado tried in vain to help by searching for a tag.)

Both Lo and Kristin opted for neutral colors on the red carpet, but Audrina Patridge mixed things up a bit, arriving in a bright purple mini with cutouts at the waist and along the shoulder. Like Audrina, Stephanie Pratt also opted for color. And while Stephanie’s dress might have been a last-minute find — she told MTV News she’d gone shopping the morning of the finale — it was a really good one. Her strapless Hérve Léger dress, accented in various shades of blue, was another one of our favorites of the night.

The boys took no cues from the “Hills” girls when it came to getting dressed for the big finale, toning down the glam factor entirely. Brody Jenner and best friend Frankie ditched suits in favor of jeans. Brody sported a black-and-white, plaid button-down with dark jeans. And though he paired the look with big sunglasses and a fitted cap, the one accessory we didn’t get to see was Brody’s latest tattoo. The “Hills” heartthrob recently inked the name of his girlfriend, singer Avril Lavigne, on his arm.

Frankie shared Brody’s dress code, wearing a pair of jeans and a simple black T-shirt, letting his footwear grab the spotlight. Frankie’s red-soled Jordans nearly trumped the ladies’ red-soled Christian Louboutins.
